Brad Petzold, MAI - Principal Appraiser

Brad Petzold, MAI

Experience

Our principal appraiser, Brad Petzold, is a Certified General Appraiser who began his appraisal career in 2003. He has gained extensive experience across a wide range of real estate property types. Under the mentorship of several MAI-designated appraisers, Brad developed his expertise, benefiting from their depth of knowledge that was acquired through their own education and decades of professional appraisal experience.

Appraisal Licensure

Brad Petzold has been issued the Certified General Appraiser License No. 1823-10 by The State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. This prestigious license represents the highest level of appraisal licensure in Wisconsin and empowers a Certified General Appraiser to evaluate any property type. Achieving a Certified General Appraiser license in Wisconsin requires a bachelor's degree, extensive specialized appraisal education, demonstration of appraisal experience, and passing a national certified general comprehensive exam.  Continuing education is required to maintain a certified general real estate license.  Most states permit certified general licensed appraisers to obtain an equivalent license in their state through reciprocity.  This allows Brad Petzold to be able to perform appraisal services outside of Wisconsin.

Professional Designation

In addition to his statewide licensure, Brad Petzold has earned the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. This organization, the largest real property appraisal group in the United States, promotes excellence and professionalism among appraisers. The MAI designation represents the highest and most respected credential for commercial real estate appraisers. To achieve the MAI designation, a Certified General Appraiser must complete advanced appraisal education and specialized coursework, as well as demonstrate experience through the submission of work samples for peer review, pass a comprehensive proctored examination, and adhere to strict ethical standards.  The Appraisal Institute also has their own continuing education requirements for maintaining the MAI designation.
